Wells Creek Sediment Study Completed

The MN DNR has recently completed a sediment study within the Wells Creek Watershed. The study identifies where sediment is coming from and which stretches of stream are good candidates for possible restoration sites. In certain areas of the watershed, stream sediment is coming from the streambanks/bed; while in other sections of the watershed, the majority of the stream sediment is coming from surface runoff/fields. We'll be using this study, along with a ton of other input, over the next few months to help establish a work plan we'll use over the course of 16 years of dedicated federal funding in the Wells Creek Watershed.
